Efforts continue to close Internet loophole for pet sales

Congressman Jim Gerlach of Pennsylvania’s 6th District has re-introduced legislation in the US House of Representatives that would close the internet sales loophole for mass breeders.

There seems to be a growing movement on this legislation after the recent report concerning the look-the-other-way oversight for puppy mills from the USDA.

The isn’t the first time Gerlach has stepped forward on the issue humane treatment for animals, according a story posted on Big News.biz. Not living in Pennsylvania, I don’t know any more about Gerlach, but based on this news, he deserves a lot of recognition.
