Woman who mailed puppy wants it returned to sender

MPR News out of Minnesota reports the woman who was recently charged with animal cruetly for allegedly enclosing a puppy in a box and mailing it, now wants the little dog back.

I would say that old rule that says anything you receive in the mail, you get to keep should apply (if that’s really a law). So the postal employees should get first dibs. And I’d say that trying to mail a dog means you don’t want the dog – and you don’t want it so bad that you’re willing to do something really dumb to get rid of it. So that means you forfeit your guardianship of the dog.

A hearing will be held Friday or Monday that could result in a ruling on whether or not the puppy will be returned to her.

It seems a lot of people are already stepping forward wanting to adopt the dog.

I can’t believe that anyone in their right mind would give her that puppy back! I hope for the puppys sake, he is adopted by someone who is more responsible and the proper authorities investigate what this person is doing with her other puppies!

Good point. This may not be a first for this individual, for this sort of thing. But one would think the staff at the post office would catch it each time out – I hope.
But again, if someone is engaged in this sort of activity, we have to be concerned for other animals in their care.
