Euthanized puppy found alive in Oklahoma shelter dumpster

The day after a group of dogs were euthanized at a Sulphur, Okla. shelter, one was found alive in the shelter’s dumpster.

Wall-E is getting a second chance and is back up for adoption. With the publicity from this story, thankfully, he’ll probably find a home. But what about the other dogs that lost their lives that day? And what about the millions of homeless dogs across the country that will loose their lives in the coming months?

I’ll have to give a Pack News Award to News 9 on this story for including including a note promoting the adoption of other dogs at the shelter and including information about the need for a better facility in the community.

It’s a great story about Wall-E surviving this terrible ordeal, but we can’t forget the other victims. And yet, some people and entities want the system to continue as is. These thoughtless people feel the lives of millions of dogs and cats each year is a small price to pay to keep, for example, puppy mills in operation.
