  1. You go Tom and please in the up coming elections, please vote Pro Animal and Pro Planet Candidates. These animals and this planet and we the human race need the right people in the drivers seat, not these sell outs to compassion. Thanks for all that you do for our animal friends. We need to get these spineless judges to start handing out real sentenses to these putrid animal abusers that should turn their robes, degrees, and anything else that says they can do their jobs in, because obiously they can’t.

    Brenda,
Thank you for your comments. I think voting pro-compassion is a great idea – for the animals, the environment and the planet.
And I hope we’re seeing a growing trend in states increasing the penalties for animal-cruelty. But these laws still don’t go far enough in protecting the innocent, defenseless creatures of the Earth.
In fact, we need better protections for children and animals across the board.
    Thank you again.

    Tom

If more people could SEE the devastating effects that puppy mills have on dogs & their human families then maybe we could end puppy mills. I lost my dear little Yorkie a few weeks ago & she was only 5 yrs old! She suffered from the day I brought her home at 8 wks old. My heart is truly broken. The painful health problems she suffered resulting from her puppy mill beginnings were unbearable. It still amazes & ANGERS me that this torture is allowed to continue for the sake of selfish profit. We claim to be the greatest country in the world with the most compassionate people yet we allow this unspeakable suffering of man’s best friend to continue. Puppy mills are horribly wrong in every sense of the word & we must quickly make them illegal once and for all.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. You gave her a life – as short as it might have been – of caring and compassion.
And your thoughts on the issue of puppy mills is spot on. Thank you.

So sorry Debbie and I know what it feels to suffer for an animal. I sometimes wonder if I’m normal because I sometimes suffer more for animals than for humans. Poor little thing. She is in heaven now. Her earthly heaven (you) might have come too late for her but now she is up there with her doggie friends.

    /hugs

Puppy mills should definitely be made illegal. The only problem I see is that the inhumane “human” beings will find a way to continue doing it because to them the welfare of the animal means nothing just the profit. So sad

    Hi Tom,
Thank you for your informative articles regarding puppy mills. They are truly canine hell. We are a newly formed National Puppy Mill Project group and one of our goals is to have an anti puppy mill group in every state of the country. We will then have a huge coalition to fight the puppy mill epidemic in this nation. We have groups in most of the states but have not been able to locate any in the following states: Idaho, North Dakota, Oregon, Kansas, Rhode Island, Alaska, and Mississippi. If you have any knowledge of groups in any of these states would you please let us know at: info@thepuppymillproject.org.
    Thank you very much.
